I do not prime mine at all but I do paint them with a coat of Testors Metalizer Burnt Iron for a base. The most important thing is to clean them up really good, for this I soak them over night in reguar old Vinagar. Vinager will clean the oils and such off, but more importantly it lightly etches the white metal so paint has something to hold on to. After the Vinager I just rinse them with tap water and let them dry on a paper towel, then start painting.

Model on,

Clair
