Hi Guys,
I wasn't a treadhead, but during my time in my secondary MOS as a Combat Engineer I was stuck helping pull maintenence on our CEVs. After 25 to 30 rounds fired on the range, there was only light surface coloring right at he muzzle which came right off when cleaning the tube. Our CEV Commander had crewed on M48s in Vietnam and was adamant that the weapons on the tracks there were cleaned every night. I can't believe that the Germans were any less belivers in maintening their weapons.
