Hello David,

I would recommend the Archer Dry Transfers series to you.
To anyone in fact.

Although it is a different technique than used on waterslide decals dry transfers have the big plus of not having any carrier film that might give the 'silvering' effect.

Archer gives you several sheets of generic turret numbers in a lot of sizes and appearances, separate sheets for divisional signs and the same for tactical signs should you need them.

Okay, you will have to buy a number of separate sheets but what you don't use on this particular kit you are going to use on other projects too.

Using Archers also gives you the opportuniy of creating a model that is much more 'individual' than for instance the many "Black Four's" Panzer IV E DAK of which quite a few are in T-L's Gallery here, everyone using the same decal sheet that came with the kit.

I don't use waterslide decals often but I got good results with Bison Decals.

H.T.H. & Happy Modelling
Jerry
