Sure. Frankly I don't know how people can bear not to! Waiting until after the build is finished would guarantee (for me, at least) that some hard-to-get-a-brush-to area would be left visible.

Um, you work out what colour(s) you want the part to be, and paint it accordingly. :)
Of course I'm only referring to small interior parts, or detail parts, or parts that will end up partly covered by other parts. Anything that will be completely "exterior" (or otherwise easily accessible) is not painted until after assembly.

Well, sure. To the extent that it's possible. Particularly fiddly bits might require a different approach, but that's decided on a case-by-case basis.

Depends. :) I don't anticipate "modifying" many parts in my modelling career, though. |
