David,
I use:
XF-60 Dark Yellow for, well, dark yellow basecoat. If it's three-tone
camoflage pattern, then I'd use XF-64 Red Brown and XF-26 Deep Green on top
of Dark Yellow. I have tried XF-61 Dark Green instead of Deep Green, and it
came out, well, too dark greenish for me, almost charcoal black. I guess
it's up to the individual preferance. After I'm done spraying with those
three colors, I typically take a very thinned solution of XF-59, Desert
Yellow, and give it a misting spray to simulate dust. For this I find that
multiple light coats work better than one heavy coat.
For earlier German tanks, use XF-63 German Grey.
Good luck,
Hyun. |
