The only paint that I have ver been able to apply water slide decals w/o gloss coat is Gunze's Semi-Gloss aircraft colors. They have many colors that are very close to armor colors. There are always dry transfers, and another solution is just a spot application of Future applied with a brush only in the area where the decal will be applied. This is my personal favorite method as it requires much less flat coat after the fact. Hope this helps,
