 Subject:  Priming winyl tracks/tiresList thread.

 Date:  Nov 8, 2007

Hi all,

I've been looking at past threads in the forums regarding vinyl tracks, and one tip I've seen is to prime vinyl tracks (automotive primer/Mr Sufacer/Tamiya Primer etc) to ensure that the vinyl can be painted without the paint flaking off. What I'm interested in finding out is:

1) Are the vinyl tracks still flexible after priming?

2) Does priming protect the vinyl from humid conditions? (I come from the tropics and have had vinyl tires on a DML BRDM-2 split after a few years)

Thanks!

Mike
