I live on the opposite coast as Rick and second his post. Though I did have an issue with a set of vinyl tracks on a Tamiya Chi Ha kit. They disintegated after about a month. Must have been something in the vinyl mix as its the only case I've ever seen it happen. And I used Tamiya primer and acrylic paints.
