| I am not sure how reliable the old "Panzer Colors" books are these days, but volume I does show several PZ III in dark grey with dark yellow patches or stripes. Probably much more reliable is "Tigers in Combat II" which does indicate the SS Tiger Companies of SS Panzer Regiments 1 and 3 went through a period of grey/dark yellow cammo for their original Tiger Is which were issued originally issued in overall dark grey. The color plates in the book as well as the B&W photos show the cammo scheme fairly well. |
