Hi
For the UK you may want to take a look at this product.

Not used it myself. I've used Mr Muscle Oven Cleaner. A foam you spray on and leave, but I found it still requires scrubbing with a toothbrush and a bit of Cif to remove it.
Depends on how available and how much a new kit is as the superstrip is not cheap, but I guess you can reuse it.
