| Hi Bill , I have not tried on such a large scale as this before , I use the permanent and as for a flat coat , again I will have to test at the end stage . It is as you can see in the early stages of experiment , But I have used it for the past 3 years on small areas and it has not faded or altered the base coat in that time. As to overdoing it , nature does not make a mistake with weathering so I say anything goes , if you like the end result that's all that matters . give it a go and let us have some feed back cheers ian |
