Making some markings for a friend, using Experts-Choice decal paper (white backing), and overcoated it with Microscale Liquid Decal Film.

First issue: the printer (Epson Stylus CX4800) didn't print the colors with equal density onto the paper.

Second issue: the liquid film stuff turned the image an aged-decal shade of yellow. I applied the decal and some of that went away, but now there's a darker yellow stain, almost as if the film ran a bit after the softener and setting solution were applied.

What did I do wrong?
