I have always been of the impression that there is no standard paint chip for Dunkel gelb. Am I wrong here, or is it difficult to guarantee that a shade of paint will be indentical from tin to tin unless it comes from the same batch?

Considering that the Germans were producing paint under war time conditions, without the modern technology we have today, I would be frankly amazed to see two vehicles the same colour let alone the same shade.

I do follow Marks line here, Things can get a bit nerdy if your not careful. I believe that if it looks right to me, then its right..end of.
