I can't comment on David's last sentence cuz I can't understand it really. I'm dense. LOL
A formulation I've heard as a general rule of thumb is to halve the scale factor and use that number as the percentage of white to add to the straight color.
For example: a 1/72 aircraft should have roughly 36% white added or roughly 1:2, white:camo color.
for 1/35 it should have roughly 17% white or 1:7 ratio.
It effectively tricks my brain and "looks right" to me. |
