When comparing real preserved items, published photos, internet photos, &c, there is a surprisingly narrow color range involved in assessing Dunkelgelb. It helps to know lighting conditions, camera variables, &c, but knowing those further refines the range; it doesn't invalidate it. The only serious confusion is when some of the Afrika colors get mixed in. This is not a hopeless or overly frustrating task. The issue is that hobby paint manufacturers do not seem to have done their homework and have ratherr copied the first to market color that had a questionable hue.
The same is not true of the (often) unit applied greens and browns.
