| First thing I'd tell you is to take a walk around a historic neighborhood and look at the color of the bricks on the houses. YEARS ago I worked as a brick mason and learned that bricks come in all sorts of shades even in the same load. Interestingly enough was at the time I was hauling brick and block a resurgance to use "old" brick was going on. That is recycled, very weathered bricks from from demolished buildings. While the base color was salmon pink, one side may have been painted as having been part of an exterior that had an advertisement painted on it. Any color was possible to find in a load of used bricks. The idea was to intersperse these "painted" bricks in with the salmon colored ones. The final results were beautiful mosaic of colors. Be creative nobody will know the difference. |
