John,
Try mixing Tamiya OD with Tamiya Yellow Green (the one that looks like zinc chromate primer). Use about 20 drops of OD to 12-14 of Yellow Green, & then add about 50% thinners again. Spray this into the centre of the panels & as a cloudy pattern on large areas, it makes a great sun-faded OD. Just done this today on an Italeri DUKW, & it looks great!
