wow - airbrush madness!
near and dear to my heart currently - working on painting technique. My 2 cents - make sure you have a regulator/moisture trap. I have been painting at less than 10 psi lately and am happy with the results. What I am finding is that the lower air pressure allows more precision, so mega HP may not be your friend (unless you enjoy looking for small bits of brass an plastic that get blown off when you start to paint.) The high PSI's are great for priming and base coats and coats of future/dullcoat/varnish, but for pre-shading panel lines and camo schemes, a lower PSI is sweet.
I think I bought a regulator from airbrush depot / dixie art or the like for 15 bucks or so. I thought they shorted me some connectors, shot them an email, and they sent another kit - gratis. Shop around, I think harbor freight has awesome prices, but you may find a purpose built name brander for a few bucks more. But above all, get the regulator, man!
Hope that helps, based on the past two months of experimentation, with results I'm finally happy with.
