I'm about to paint my DML T-34/85 and I've noticed something about the spare tracks and the ends of the tow cables. These appear to me that the real ones come coated with a black preservative paint. I think I'm going to paint the spare tracks and tow cable ends on my model for "something completely different" as in the past I did the tow cable ends in usually the tanks color and the spare tracks in a dark brown. So what paint would replicate this preservative?
BTW, I notice tank track still comes that way |
