Subject:  Building a Home-made Spray Booth... Your OpinionList thread.

I am thinking about putting together a portable spray booth using supplies easily purchased at my local Home Building Supply Store. I thought about all the things that I wanted in such a booth...

1. A reasonable spray area
2. Portability
3. Over spray control
4. Safety and environmental friendliness
5. Economy
6. It needed to look cool.

I am primarily an acrylic painter so I think the materials I have chosen will do the trick. I thought I could publish the drawings and make them available via email as .pdf. I will produce a materials list and some construction photos and Illustrations along the way. With the cost of Spray booths being quite high I thought some of you do-it-your selfers might be interested. Most all the drawings are done and I am going to start building it for myself anyway so I thought I might share the experience. I did take into account various "services" provided by most DIY centers (like cutting plywood.) You will need some shop tools. I will try to demonstrate alternative construction techniques If I think my preferred methods requires speciallized or expensive shop tools.

So would this be enough of a value, based on the attached drawing, to be expend the effort?
