Yes, I wash my kits in saopy water before starting construction. I think, no mateer what you do, acrylics will not sand as well as lacquers. This was a test and I see no reason to switch from a lacquer, or enamal primer to an acrylic.

I'll continue to use Floquil primer. Of every thing I've used it works the best.
