I have my exhaust fan built into the wall of our house. This may not be a possibility, but much simpler than a separate spray booth. The fan is a 100cfm bathroom exhaust. The opening is about 18 inches from the center of my bench where I do the spraying.
Of course I wear a paint vapor mask when spraying.
I have a 36 inch florescent light fixture over the bench. The halogens will produce heat which is not good for the plastic, will speed up paint drying resulting in a dusty finish and there is always the chance of...boom!
Finally...one day you may build a model too large for the booth!
