In other countries its sold as Johnson's Klear. Its a clear acrylic "floor wax". I do use it on airplane canopies now and then, but its hard to work with. Basically its used to give super high gloss finishes on jets or cars as well.
Fine Scale Modeller recently ran a big article on how to airbrush it. IIRC they have run a couple Future articles.
Its discussed widely on Hyperscale's Plane Talk board.
Decal setting solutions will melt it... so you have to be careful there for sure! |
