Like Michael I have never had even the slightest indication of a problem using Isopropyl Alcohol with Tamiya paints and other than some craft paints I don’t really use any other acrylic brands because Tamiya seems like a very good product and easy for me to get. Also by not mixing brands freely I have avoided those little unpleasant surprises that so often happen when they can do you the most damage. I always clean my air brush completely between any paint change as it makes me feel more comfortable in avoiding problems.
The only problem I have had with Tamiya is the unannounced change in the olive drab color.
I think I will stick with the 99% Alcohol when I don’t have any Tamiya Thinner. |
