Hey Scott,

Don't get me wrong, I do agree with you, thats why I don't see the use in apply a lacquer to an acrylic. If you want an acrylic then you buy it for its qualities of beng able to clean up with water or related solution.
If you want an enamel or lacquer based paint then go with the products specifically formulated for that purpose.

The only reason why I tryied it at the time, is to see what type of finish quality I would receive and if there was an advantage to it. I didn't find any and prefer to use the enamel with either lacquer or Testors airbrush thinner. This is what I prefer because it works for me as using waterbased acrylics work for you.
