| hi erik, i always use oils to weather right after my air brushed acrylics dry. i use grumbachers odorless pretested thinner. i have no idea what the pretested means , but i get excellent results and have not once had a problem. also as a rule i always use dissimilarly based initial paint base coats and washes/ weathering. ie: if i use enamels to base coat and pre shade etc., i always use an acrylic or water based paint for my weathering etc. process. the main reason being is that i had disastrous results in the past from using similar based paints and wethering processe in the past , and i like the results. i will also follow the rule with matte finishes, etc. good luck, jim rosado |
