I have thinned Tamiya and Gunze acrylics with laquer thinner for a couple of years. I don't usually thin whole jars full at once, but have poured some thinned paint back into the jar with no ill effects.

I clean my airbrush out with laquer thiner ANYWAY no matter what kind of paint I am using. It will easily remove enamel, acrylic, etc.

Im not sure what all this fuss is about. Common sense should dictate hey its paint and maybe I shouldn't eat it, even if it says water soluable. Water soluable DOES NOT mean non toxic. It doesn't say non toxic on the jar in the first place. Toothpaste is "non toxic" yet have you read the huge warning lables on any tube???? Like if you ingest tooth paste they tell you to call the Poison Control Center.
