Thanks guys, that's good info. I've always made my washes with Winsor & Newton oils and Turpenoid. Thinking I'd be a smart guy I mixed enough to fill a Tamiya-sized paint jar. Within a few weeks I noticed it became clumpy - not what you want in a wash.
Perhaps the MIG folks figured a way to put a "non-clumpifier" in there to keep the pigments very fine. I'll give one a try soon.
