Hi all,
first off, I will admit I am pretty steamed as I write this.

After reading a lot of info about Vallejo paints, I decided to give them a try. I bought 1 bottle of Vallejo colour, and 1 of Vallejo Air. The Air instructions say it can be used for an airbrush straight from the bottle (no thinning required), that it dries immediately and that it gives a superior finish to all other acrylic paints.

So, I tried it today and painted a Pz I and a sIG33 (self propelled).

No matter what combinations of air pressure, air amount and paint amount I tried, the paint came out consistently in a crappy pattern, it pooled immediately on the model and basically just made an absolute mess resulting in a s$%^ paint job. As these models are 1/72, they are now pretty much ruined. This is by far the crappiest paint I have ever used.

I was using a Paasche single action airbrush.

Am I missing the boat here and doing something wrong? Has anyone had any positive experience with the Vallejo Air in an airbrush?

Any and all advice will be appreciated.

TIA,

Mike C.
