I really didn't hold out much hope that I could correct but thought I might as well give it a try before stripping it. I've already got it soaking in laundry detergent as someone over on P.A. suggested to me. I'll go to alcohol spray after that then probably 409 cleaner if nothing has worked up to that point. I've never used oven cleaner and would rather not as I've seen some pretty grisly results that people have experienced from it. So if you can suggest anything else short of oven cleaner that might do the trick I'd appreciate hearing it.
