Hello All,
Just looking for some advice in doing washes. I paint most of my armor
using Tamiya Acrylics. I have had an incredibly hard time getting a wash to
turn out right. Below is the process that I use.
1. Completed kit is washed in warm water using dishwashing detergent.
2. Kit is allowed to dry.
3. Paiunted using Tamiya Acrylics thinned with rubbing alcohol.
4. Kit is allowed to dry.
5. Decals added.
6. Kit is then given a wash of oil paint thinned in Turpenoid Natural (the
blue can).
7. Everything is then allowed to dry.
8. Given a coat of testors dullcoat.
I have gotten it to where the wash goes on without removing the paint. Pin
washes are fine, when I try to do a overall wash, the oil paint seems to
seperate and is hard to remove from the unwanted areas. Any and all advice
is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Andreas J. Elesky
