Honestly, I do not think a universal mixing ratio or magic formula exists.
Each color has its own viscosity. I have found the lighter colors require
less thinner and the darker colors (and metallic) need more. I use plain 91%
isopropyl alcohol as a thinner. I just add thinner drop-by-drop until I
achieve a consistency similar to whole milk. This qualitative method has
served me well.
