I have built the ACE LAV-25 and I am waiting for my second LAV-25 and LAV-R to arrive.

The LAV-25 is ACE's best kit to date, although it can be improved with some basic modelling techniques.

I'm not happy with the 25mm barrel and I'm not sure what the best solution would be. Of course, the fluted barrel is another matter. Apart from that, and the need to test fit before applying glue, the LAV-25 kit goes together quite well.

It is intended to have rotating wheels and the forward two pairs are steerable so you can build the model in a realistic pose.

I know a modeller who is building the LAV-R with an operating jib and I'll probably attempt it too.

Happy to recommend the ACE LAVs.

David
