Hey Stephen, any chance you pressed the parts together while the
superglue hardened. That might cause sufficient tension on the part to
cause it to split between the super glue bonding. I have, on occasion,
done this with resin parts where you can persuade them with a bit of
force to fit properly. While you can get away with it when working with
styrene, resin is a bit more delicate.

Just a thought.
