I've been collecting Sd.Kfz. 222 references for years, unfortunately I
just lent most of it to another modeller. I do have an extra copy of the
old Aero book that may be of some use but most of the pictures are also
in the link James sent you.
I can't think of any all-in-one painting and marking reference, except
perhaps the "Osprey New Vanguard 29 : German Armoured Cars and
Reconnaissance Half-Tracks 1939-1945" book? There are a few good
pictures in the Panzer Colours series of books from Squadron, these at
least will give you a general overview of German WW2 painting and
markings that will apply to the 222 as well.
