Andy's description about sums it up for IPMS/USA also. A good testament to
the "quality" of their Journal was when the editor said that it was more
important for model reviewers to be good photographers, rather than good
model builders.
The society itself is run pretty much at this same level of intellect as
well.
The only time I join the club is when I want to enter models into their
national convention, because of their moronic rule that only members can
enter the contest.
You're better off sticking with AMPS.
