Forums - Modelling / Smallscale

The construction forum is for the discussion of small scale AFV modelling. Usually this refers to 1-76th and 1-72nd scale AFVs.

I build in 1/72. For boards, I use basswood from the local hobby shop, in the flying model section.

For tress, I pull up the roots of small scrubs (privet hedge), wash off the dirt, let them dry and then cut and glue the roots to make a tree. The foliage can be train grass foam, or dried herbs such as parsley. Put white glue on the ends of the "branches" and then shake the herbs over the glue. Paint as per the seasons.
