Took the picture, threw it into ACDSee (an image viewer with a couple of imaging tools), let it run through some basic enhancement stuff:
-crop
-image size increase by interpolation
-auto-leveling
-some brightness adjustment
-some lightness adj. (different from brightness)
-sharpening
the whole op took 10-20 secs or so and boom - there is a better picture..not superb, but better. So, some rather basic digital tools (no Photoshop necessary) can do the trick if setup is limited. However, as has been mentioned, one should always get the most out of a camera first by experimenting with the settings. Costs nothing..
I do this kind of thing many times with very good pictures posted on various modeling sites. If the source shot is good, it can be made into a superior picture. The usual problems with digi cams is the (blue) overcast and slight blur. |
