I just finished a nice three tone NATO camo job on my Revell Bradley and managed to break the barrel in two :-(

Is there any alternative in metal (I don't want to repair it to break it again later on), a fellow member of my local model club suggested using a turned 20mm Flak 38 barrel. What do you think?
