Forums - Modelling / Smallscale

The construction forum is for the discussion of small scale AFV modelling. Usually this refers to 1-76th and 1-72nd scale AFVs.

The Omega-K URAL 4320 is not the same kit is the AER URAL 4320. The latter is based on the GRAD kit is is grossly inferior to the Omega-K kit. (I'm using an Omega-K URAS 375 as the base vehicle for the GRAD launcher).

The Omega-K URAL 375 is the same kit as the ZV Models URAL 375.

The Omega-K, ICM and MAC Zil 157s are the same kit.

In case you're interested, the Omega-K KrAZ-258 Soviet heavy tanker is the same kit as that sold under the E-Klass label but it's much cheaper.

Omega-K also does the Zil 131 and that may also be available under other labels.

You can also throw in Industry Cleaning as the name on the box of my URAL 4320.

The two URAL kits are basically the same with the grille being the major difference. The GS, fuel tanker and command bodies are all interchangeable.

There's also the Trumpeter Zil 157 which is a different kit to the Omega-K, ICM and MAC stable but seems to share a common heritage.

I'm not sure which companies are out of business - new Omega-K stock seems to turn up regularly.

I hope that's clear because I'm confused.

Now, if only someone would produce a range of crew figures for Soviet/Russian softskins.

David
