This is one of the two new sprues included in the Hasegawa SdKfz 234/1. Note that the mesh screens are solid. I guess it will be PE to the rescue!

To the right, note the beautifully thin 2cm gun! Yet, I do not understand why a slide mold (actually sliding a pin) could not be used to open the muzzle. While the MG42 is rather tiny for this, Hasegawa did go to the expense of using the technique on the mudguards to include the molded on tools on top as well as the hatches on the sides.
