Konrad,
I have just started on the assembly of this kit and I have the turret, upper hull, and lower hull finished except for fiddly bits.
Anyway, the suspension arms were indeed a tight fit, but I found that they snugged up to the hull without major problems.
You notice there is a flat portion that serves as kind of a key so you don't get the arms backward. Once the arms are inserted I used the butt end on my exacto knife handle and pushed on the arms. They literally snapped into place and were aligned fine. A little MEK on the backside insured they won't be moving.
They do fit, just pick a tool that has a small hard flat surface and gently push on the arms until the are in the hull.
Of course the other option is to use a pin vise and a drill bit and enlarge the holes and align the suspension yourself...
HTH,
Christopher |
