The construction forum is for the discussion of small scale AFV modelling. Usually this refers to 1-76th and 1-72nd scale AFVs.

Hi Doug,

Glad to see that you're surviving hurricane season!

I'm not certain what Attack's idea was for this set. I know from photo evidence that it was quite common to see different types of wheels (treads and hub patterns) on individual 234-series vehicles. Possibly Attack's set is meant to offer some alternative wheels for the wheels that are in existing models (Roden, Hasegawa - which contains two tread patterns but is missing the cooling holes on all, Italieri). As such, they wouldn't provide a full set of any one pattern. I agree that it is odd, however.

From the photos on-line, it also appears that Attack is having the common resin problem of keeping the wheels completely round. This may not show up too much once they're painted and/or could just be the quality of the on-line photos, but it doesn't make me want to rush out and buy them without seeing them first.
