The hatchs are compltely different. The 15 mm hatch comes from the Tiger I. And the 40 mm think one was desgend for the Tiger II. The last version of the Tiger I got this hatch also had the 40 mm hatch. The Revell and Esci Tigers II have both the later style hatch. The Porsche Tiger II from Dragon has the early style (15 mm) hatch.
There is a rim on the inside of the turret on witch the hatch rests.
Only the very first Tigers II had no hangers for spare tracks. I have only seen this on the Porsche turret of the Tiger II.
