Hi Gert,
I have to disagree with you about 18-teeth sprockets. There were few(can't remember how many) very early Tiger II's with 18 teeth.

I was considering late(March'45) conversion with kitbashing Esci/Italeri and Revell but Esci's tracks(only single link tracks that I know) were so awful that I dropped that project.
And I think that MMiR Tiger book is a bit confusing, too.
