What's with you people? Since when did this forum become a site for personal attacks and baseless accusations? Gert ten Brink is a respected modeler in the small scale community who has written many reviews and articles for several websites. He is an extremely talented modeler who has an excellent eye for detail and admirable research skills. Just because he owns an aftermarket company and has preferred brands of plastic models to work with makes him not trust-worthy?
Because of Gert's knowledge and experience with today's model manufacturers, he is extremely well-versed in the strengths and weaknesses of each. It is this experience that has led to his preference of Revell's kits over Dragon's, just like every experienced modeler is also going to have their own preferences also. If you are waiting for a review to be written by someone who views all model manufacturers as being equal, you will have a long wait.
Before you people continue to criticize Gert's review, why don't you all go out and buy both Dragon's and Revell's kits as he did, and write your own side-by-side comparison review. Because as far as I can see, he is the only one to have done so.
And just so you all don't decide to spread your attacks to me for not adhering to the "Full Disclosure Rules", my name is Doug Chaltry, and I am the former owner and operator of the On The Way! website. Over the years I received several review samples of kits from both Revell and Coelian Models. If you want to feel that this makes me biased too, go for it.
Paul, I am very sorry if this message only serves to feed this flame-war, but someone has to stand up for Gert in this unfair attack on his character. If these people want to continue this sort of behavior, they would be better off posting their opinions on a different forum, because I've always viewed Track-Link as being above this sort of thing.
