Christopher,
There's a reason it isn't painted yet, put simply I don't know. I'm still trying to find a reference that will tell me. The engine details came off a restored piece and that one was painted dark yellow on the inside of the engine compartment.
But as you well know you can't trust museum pieces eh?
So I'm still digging around.
I'll let you know if I find something promising.
