It seems that the screen doesn't fit after all, according to this review by Cookie Sewell. It discusses the 1/72 T-34-85 kit, but makes mention of the ill-sized PE fret on the Model 1942 kit.

Heavy sigh...makes the whole "we got PE in the kit!!" excitement much undeserved. At least DML improved this on the T-34-85 kit, which means they are listening to some extent. |
