Awhile back Paul sent me this kit and I've been thinking about the best way to acheive what I wanted, which was an early version named "Chwat". This is a commonly seen early model Hetzer captured by the Polish in the Warsaw uprising in August of '44.
I began by correcting the hull shape, then rescribed the engine deck to make for proper hatches, and added foliage loops and handles.
Now I turn my attention to the front where the collar needs some attention. To my eye it is too long and site too low on the front hull. I have not yet figured a good solution to this, but will be trying something.
Pictured here is the hull corrected (on the right) and the original kit shape (on the left).
Cheers,
