Forums - Modelling / Smallscale

The construction forum is for the discussion of small scale AFV modelling. Usually this refers to 1-76th and 1-72nd scale AFVs.

Thanks for the advice Ken.

FWIW my approach to selection of kits may be a little different from most people. For various reasons that are too dull to go into here I picked the Panzer I (and variants) as my first subject for modelling, and in pursuit of that goal my intent is to "model the hell out of" any and all Pz.I kits that I can lay my hands on (without too much difficulty or expense, that is). [I actually made this decision several years back, but personal circumstances derailed my plans to get back into the hobby at that time. When I made this choice there were very few Pz.I kits around, but in recent years the choices have exploded! - although not in small scale, admittedly.]

I'm actually "scale-neutral", so of the various Pz.I kits that I have acquired I picked this one more or less out of the hat. I have several other 72nd and 76th scale versions, as well as quite a large pile of 35th scale offerings. (And if anyone made a Pz.I in 48th scale I'd have that too ... but I'm mildly relieved that isn't the case!)

Eventually I'll run out of Pz.I variants to build and paint (or I'll run out of patience with them!) and I'll move on to my next subject, which at this stage I don't know what it will be, other than it won't be German!
